Project goal

The goal of this project was to design an app icon and create three mobile application screens targeting individuals who are not proficient in DIY tasks but occasionally need specific tools for short-term use within 48 hours.

Problem

Many people lack proficiency in DIY tasks and may only require tools for occasional use, making it impractical to purchase expensive equipment they won’t regularly use, or they may not know how to use.

Solution

The solution was to design a user-friendly mobile interface that provided easy access to tool rentals, task suggestions, and tutorials, focusing on one UI that was appealing, minimalist and simultaneously intuitive, prioritizing the core and essential actions for each user.

User flow

Creating the user flow helped me with the design process, ensuring function hierarchy, easy access to main actions for the user to accomplish and ensure and, of course, an intuitive app.

Design System

I developed a simple design system with clear guidelines to ensure consistency and coherence across the app, delivering a seamless, minimal, and cohesive user experience.

Wireframes

Creating wireframes gave me a clear idea of the user interface and allowed me to visualize the layout and functionality in a early state.
